A collection of 34 essays written by national and international scholars, Studies in South Asian Heritage commemorates the contribution of Professor M Harunur Rashid, former Superintendent of Archaeology, Government of Bangladesh, and Visiting Professor at Jahangirnagar University, to the study of Archaeology in Bangladesh. The essays are organized in five sections: Part 1: Art and Iconography; Part 2: Archaeology; Part 3: Architecture; Part 4: Epigraphy and Numismatics; Part 5: History. Most of the papers are well-illustrated, containing images, pictures, and drawings. A full bibliography of the written work on Archaeology by Professor Rashid is included.
