Dr. Gomathi Gowda, currently serving as the Principal at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, brings over two decades of dedicated experience in the realm of fine arts and academia. With a rich educational background, she holds a Master of Visual Arts with a specialization in the History of Art from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (2000-2002). Driven by a passion for scholarly pursuits, she further pursued her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Fine Arts at the University of Mysore, graduating in 2013. Dr. Gowda's illustrious career includes significant roles in both educational leadership and curriculum development. She has been an integral part of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, having served as a lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts for five years from July 2011 to August 2016. In her current role as the Principal, she has been leading the institution since January 2023, contributing to the growth and development of the College of Fine Arts. Prior to her current position, she played a pivotal role at Woxsen University in Hyderabad, where she served as the Associate Dean for Corporate Alignment & Integrative Research and as an Associate Professor in the School of Arts and Design for over two years. Dr. Gowda's academic journey also encompasses a significant tenure as the Head of the Department at KL University in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, from December 2017 to February 2022. Her commitment to shaping the next generation of artists is evident in her role as an educator at Jain University, where she served as a lecturer in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences from June 2011 to August 2013. Her academic contributions extend beyond the classroom, as she actively engages in research activities, reflecting her dedication to advancing knowledge in the field of fine arts. Dr. Gomathi Gowda stands as a beacon in the academic community, seamlessly blending her passion for the arts with her commitment to education and research.
