Late Prof. Vijayshree (1949–2004) has graduated from Sagar University, Madhya Pradesh, and MA from BHU, Varanasi, and DPhil from Allahabad University. She joined teaching in 1974 in the Department of Philosophy, Sri Arbind Mahila College, Patna and subsequently joined Patna University in 1980. She had been awarded fellowships from University Grant Commission and Indian Council of Philosophical Research. She was the Joint Secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Darshan Parishad. She had written three books and contributed several articles to various research journals.
